In the Dimitrovgrad Educational Center, Balkanska 2, on November 25, 2022. starting at 12:00 p.m., a conference was held on the occasion of the Solemn Announcement of the project “Reintegration 2 – further support for the sustainable (re)integration of returnees in Serbia”.
The main goal of the project is to contribute to the sustainable (re)integration of returnees and the local socially vulnerable population in Central and Southern Serbia.
The project will support more than 200 beneficiaries in Dimitrovgrad, in order to strengthen their economic and social position and improve their integration into the community.
Support is foreseen through the provision of subsidies for self-employment, various business trainings and VAT’s subsidies to employers for opening new jobs and employing returnees and other less employable categories of the population, support for children and young people through the implementation of 80 inclusive workshops, as well as the development of institutional capacities in the field of social protection at the local level.
Public calls for self-employment, support for job growth and development for employers, as well as for the social component of the project – inclusive workshops – have been announced. All public calls can be found on the website www.reintegracija.net, on the link as well as on the website of the municipality of Dimitrovgrad and the project partners. Public calls for self-employment and employers last until December 6, 2022.
The total value of the project for Dimitrovgrad is EUR 89,040.00. Information about project activities, open calls and more will be available on the website of the project, as well as the Dimitrovgrad municipality, partner organizations and associations.
At the conference, the president of the municipality of Dimitrovgrad, Mr. Vladica Dimitrov, the director of ASB Serbia, Mr. Gordan Velev, and the director of the Initiative for Development and Cooperation IDC, Mr. Miodrag Nedeljković, spoke about the project.
The project holder is ASB Serbia (Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund), the implementer of the Initiative for Development and Cooperation (IDC), and thebeneficiaries districts of the project are Pirotski, Rasinski and Raški okrug. The project is financed by the funds of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development BMZ and lasts until April 2025.
