Study visit and exchange of experiences in the field of development of social services – Project “Reintegration – support for sustainable (re)integration of returnees in Serbia”

A seminar “Establishment of social services in the local community in accordance with national quality standards” was held in Bogatić as part of a study visit and exchange of experiences in the field of development of social services between the municipalities of Bogatić, Sjenica, Tutin and the city of Novi Pazar.

Representatives of the municipalities of Sjenica, Tutin and the city of Novi Pazar were welcomed in the premises of the municipality of Bogatić by representatives of the municipality, the Center for Social Work Bogatić and the Court of Sustainable Development, and after the discussion and exchange of experiences in the field of social services development, they visited several families of users of social services. In addition to all of the above, the Bogatić Tourist Organization organized a walk through the city and showed the guests local sights.

After the city tour, more than 20 representatives of municipalities, centers for social work and associations that provide social services in the community attended a seminar in order to improve competences in the field of development of social services in local communities. The lecturer, Mrs. Nada Šarac, guided the participants through the topics of service development and the specifics of managing social care services and community involvement.

At the end of the intensive exchange of experiences and training, representatives of municipalities, centers for social work and associations were strengthened for further development and improvement of social services in the community, which will greatly help them to improve the quality of services intended for socially vulnerable families.
