At the end of April, we visited employers in Novi Pazar and the surrounding area – grant winners as well as beneficiaries employed by employers.
For a total of 10 companies, 20 subsidies were approved for the employment of unemployed persons, in the amount of 3,750,00 euros per workplace. More precisely, a total of 20 unemployed persons will be employed through the subsidies, and the total value of the approved funds is 75,000.00 euros. The funds are intended for the purchase of equipment, machines and materials to expand the scope of production and services.
As many as 15 women are employed among the unemployed persons who went through this program.
Inclusive workshops for children and young people are organized in the Good Neighbor Club Novi Pazar at the address 7 juli bb and will last until the end of the project – April 2025.
This is the third year of project implementation, and the previous project “Reintegration – support for sustainable (re)integration of returnees in Serbia” included more than 1,900 children and young people who attended 900 workshops, 98 grants for self-employment were awarded with 270 trainings for starting their own work.
The total value of the project for the City of Novi Pazar is EUR 310,000.00. More than 40% of beneficiaries are women, which is why we emphasize strengthening the female entrepreneurial spirit.
The project holder is the German organization ASB (Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund), the implementation partner is the Initiative for Development and Cooperation (IDC) from Belgrade, while the local partner in the project is the citizens’ association “Merhamet Sandžak” and Regional Development Agency of Sandžak SEDA. The project is supported by the City of Novi Pazar and is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development BMZ.
