Considering that the school semester is approaching, math workshops help students prepare for written and test assignments.
We have been covering addition and subtraction within the set of rational numbers (Q). Throughout the workshops, students participated in various activities that encouraged their logical thinking and creativity.
Workshop leaders introduce a specific area at the beginning, but they mainly focus on the concrete resolution of tasks and provide support to participants where needed. Additionally, a smart board in the club is utilized to help students organize ideas, identify strengths and weaknesses, similarities and differences, mark maps, drawings, diagrams, and much more.
The use of an interactive board allows workshop leaders and participants to concentrate on specific aspects of the topic. A portion of the screen can be hidden and revealed as needed. The interactive board software includes shapes that can help students focus on a particular area of the screen. Objects can be cut and erased from the screen, copied and pasted, and actions can be undone or repeated.
